SELL DOMAIN NAME

GOLD & SILVER DOMAIN HUNTING

Our professional Domain Brokers spend at least eight hours every day buying and selling domain names. We have three words running around inside our heads every day. Sell Domain Name.

Think about how much time it would take you to search through Google, make a shortlist of 50 businesses (or 25 for the Silver Package) that may be interested in your domain name, then personally email each and every one of them, wording your emails in such a way to ensure you are not going against the SPAM act? Just one name could take you a full eight-hour day to do all this research and make contact. Still, at the end of all this you may not have priced your name correctly which could see you getting no responses. Congratulations, you’ve just wasted a whole day.

We buy and sell names every week and we’re good at it. What would take you eight hours can take us half that time.

Methods

Our methods don’t involve waving a magic wand or praying to spirits. They involve wearing our fingers out on the keyboard and drying our eyes out on the screen.

By choosing our Gold Sell Domain Name plan, we manually search through the first 20 pages of a Google Search for the keywords associated with your domain name, identify the companies that could be interested in your name, research the best people to contact within those companies, then manually write personal and specific emails to specific companies. We follow up email replies with phone calls to take the sales pitch to the next level. If you need to test our phone sales-pitch skills, you can literally pick up your phone and dial 1300 76 55 66 and ask to speak to Robert. Chances are, Robert (me) will answer the phone (during business hours) and we can discuss the power of your domain name and why our brains constantly internally chant, sell domain name!

Pricing your name is a big factor. We work with you to come to a realistic selling price for your domain name. This obviously has a huge affect on how fast the domain name will sell, if at all. That being said, you obviously want to make the most amount of money out of your domain name and we would obviously like to make the most amount of commission. There is a fine line between pricing your name too cheap and too expensive. We like to think we walk the line very well. Every week we deal with Australia’s biggest Domainers (people who own thousands of names) and Domain Selling Companies (like Fairfax Media). We broker deals to buy and sell domain names for people who are just starting a business, to large corporations who want to secure their own two-letter acronym version of their company name (often worth $30,000 to $50,000 and even higher).

How do you know that we’re doing our job?

If we sell the name for a good price, then that says it all really. If we don’t sell the name, be rest-assured that our business could not continue to run if all we did was spend 8 hours of research and manual email writing for each domain name for a mere $330 a pop. The whole point is to try to sell your name so that you are happy with the return and we are paid for all our hard work.

Our Fees

Our latest starting-fees are listed in the package options on the top right of this page.
If we are successful in selling your name:
We charge you a further 15% commission of your sale price (ex GST) if your name is sold for under $10,000.
We charge you a further 10% commission of your sale price (ex GST) if your name is sold for $10,000 or over.
Once the legally binding agreement has been made between you and the buyer, the buyer will pay you the full amount directly and you will reply the buyer an invoice for their records. We will invoice you once the buyer has paid you.

RULES and EXTRA CHARGES

We only have a few simple rules that we do business by.

  1. We knock off an hour early on Fridays for beers to celebrate the week’s accomplishments.
  2. We only sell .com or .com.au domain names.
  3. Sometimes we make our own t-shirts and wear them around the office. All they say is Sell Domain Name on them.
  4. We strive to promote the sale of your domain name to the businesses most likely to want to buy it. We do a lot of research before personally emailing each company.
  5. We deliver your name to the new owner by giving them the AUTH CODE of your domain name. We ensure your AUTH CODE works on our end, before we instruct the buyer to make their payment. We only issue the AUTH CODE to the buyer once their money has cleared in your bank account.
  6. The COR (change of registrar) costs are an extra charge we must pass on from country domain name registrar services and are normally around $66 AU (inc GST). However, most of the time, the BUYER pays these fees.
  7. If an escrow service (or trusted middleman service) is to be used (generally requested from the buyer), then there is usually a 3% additional fee charged by the escrow service. We also charge a further $220 AU (inc GST) if we have to use our own escrow account for the transaction (if you don’t want to use your own or if you want us to be involved in the escrow transaction) and another additional 3% administration fee. (escrow transactions can become quite complicated and generally add 7 days to the process).
